We work exclusively with Canvas On Demand and have always had wonderful results.  Our favorite photographs are always presented this way – a high quality print on artist canvas stretched over 1.5″ deep wood supports.

We’re able to order them in just about any size and are amazing when we order ‘em big… reeeeally big.  They stand out boldly without the distraction of a frame just as if it was floating on the wall.  They have a nice dustcover backing with the hanging hardware and bumpers installed.  I always tell people that I think the canvas makes their photograph look like it should be in a museum of art.

Here’s a few of the favorites from one of our last weddings… these are suggestions on how a photo would look as a canvas print.

1. We were photographing weddings in Las Vegas wedding chapels for a project with a book that should be coming out next year.
2. We were attending the world’s largest wedding photographer conference.
3. We got to photograph a bunch of models at the Neon Boneyard.

Finally after a very long wait, the final images from our Neon Boneyard shoot are ready.  I hope you enjoy these, they are some of my favorite ones.  While they’re not very “wedding related” the ones of the dancer from the Folies are my personal favorites.  This was such a fun shoot… these photos are HOT – enjoy!

So one of the themes that is out there right now is “Matrimony”.  Being a full-time wedding photographer I decided that this would be my perfect opportunity to start sharing with the JPG community.

A Breath On Stolen Time

Everything sounds great and we’re really looking forward to getting to spend the evening with 100 fraternity men along with a host of others at their chartering ceremony.  Nothing too out of the ordinary… dinner, dancing, group photo.

So here comes the pressure.

Kristen & Cory Winters @ Indianapolis Monument Circle War Memorial

They are getting their charter presented to them at this ceremony. It’s kind of a big deal for a Greek chapter. They want to get a picture of their entire chapter of 100 men (ok, still sounds fine, eh?). They want that picture to be in front of Indy’s Monument Circle and they want to have the whole monument and all 100 of them in the picture. They want it to be a great picture so it can be on the cover of their National Fraternity’s publication. Yikies. That’s a lot of pressure… be a cheerleader to organize 100 guys in one of the city’s busiest places at dusk and take an amazing shot… not to mention this can be a tricky shot.

We’re up for it. We’ll take the challenge. Kinda sounds like fun.

One of our favorite places was Red Rock Canyon because it is so close to the strip (about 15-20 minutes from your hotel to the park) and because it’s only $5.  You’ll spend that much money pretty freakin quick in Vegas, so take the trip out to the canyon to enjoy a trip around the scenic loop.

It takes about 45 minutes to drive the scenic loop assuming that you don’t much stopping.  There are lots of great places along the loop for you to stop, hike, bike, climb, or picnic so you’ll want to leave enough time to go out and have some fun.

Red Rock Canyon

Fabulous Las Vegas

One of our first stops was Red Rock Canyon National Conservation Area for a trip around the scenic drive. We’ve seen photos from here before and have been dying to see the beautiful photo backdrops of the Red Rock Canyon. We were not let down by the fantastic views… simply amazing. Anyone getting married in Las Vegas should seriously consider making the short trip out here to get some absolutely stunning photos. It’s about a 20 minute drive west of the strip and it’s $5 per vehicle to drive the scenic drive.

Along the scenic drive there are at least 10 different spots where you can pull off and spend a bit of time enjoying the scenery. It’s a desert and the ground is very loose so ladies if you’ve got those heals on you’ll probably want to stay pretty close to the parking areas. But don’t worry you can still get the great photos that you’re looking for from the side of the road. In fact, all but one of the photos posted here were taken from the car!

Since there are thousands of wedding photographers descending on the Las Vegas area it’s no surprise that we ran into a group of photographers that were out there with a bunch of models doing a photo shoot. It was too tempting not to snipe just one photo…

Red Rock Canyon Landscape

Tomorrow we’re heading back out to the canyon with Autumn and Arian for an engagement shoot so we’ll post those photos as soon as we get a chance. Things are going to get a bit crazy with the convention, parties, weddings, and shoots coming up in the next few days so it might be later in the week before we can get the photos up… but we’ll do it ASAP… we promise!
