Indy Monument Circle

I get a frantic call this afternoon from a gentleman looking for a photographer to cover a special event in Indy on Saturday night.  He’s having a heck of a time finding someone who is available and willing to shoot their event… what the heck, we’ll do it!

Everything sounds great and we’re really looking forward to getting to spend the evening with 100 fraternity men along with a host of others at their chartering ceremony.  Nothing too out of the ordinary… dinner, dancing, group photo.

So here comes the pressure.

They are getting their charter presented to them at this ceremony. It’s kind of a big deal for a Greek chapter. They want to get a picture of their entire chapter of 100 men (ok, still sounds fine, eh?). They want that picture to be in front of Indy’s Monument Circle and they want to have the whole monument and all 100 of them in the picture. They want it to be a great picture so it can be on the cover of their National Fraternity’s publication. Yikies. That’s a lot of pressure… be a cheerleader to organize 100 guys in one of the city’s busiest places at dusk and take an amazing shot… not to mention this can be a tricky shot.

We’re up for it. We’ll take the challenge. Kinda sounds like fun.
