Congratulations to Jenna and Phil Petroff!
We had a blast with them starting on Friday at St. Simon the Apostle Catholic Church near Geist Reservoir. After a quick run-through of the following day’s events the crew headed over to George’s Neighborhood Grill for a fantastic rehearsal dinner. Then on Saturday morning Audrey met the ladies for hair and makeup (and mimosas too) at the dc Hair Lounge before heading back to the church to get ready for the ceremony.
While the beautiful bride and her bridesmaids finished getting ready I was able to take the guys out in the rain for a few fun portraits before it started to rain too hard. Unfortunately as the time for the ceremony approached so did the rain and we weren’t able to take Jenna outside for any photographs or we would have ruined her lovely dress – so instead we ran into the chapel as all of the guests were arriving.
After the ceremony Audrey took a wild ride in the limo with the wedding party. You’ll have to see the photos to believe that Jenna was able to finish das boot. We’ve never seen a wedding party that had this much fun. While the wedding party rode around jamming and consuming, the guests were heading over to the Garrison at Fort Benjamin Harrison State Park for an appetizer and cocktail hour under a tent on the patio before the bride and groom were introduced and the fun of the reception began. The food was excellent, the staff was great, and the room looked wonderful.
The cake was from Taylor’s Bakery and was very cute topped with little doggies that Jenna had found on Mackinac Island. Everyone seemed to have a ball at the reception – the dance floor was packed thanks to great tunes served up by DJ Sunny Moon.
